Hypnosis is a process in which positive affirmations and suggestions are spoken to the subconscious mind. The mind is brought down to a very relaxed state of brain frequency called Theta. This is the state of mind when is it open to suggestion. This deep state of mind is achieved with breathing and visualization.
Our minds are in some state of Hypnosis throughout the day. Hypnosis is a totally natural state for the human mind to be in – absolutely everybody has been ‘hypnotized’ literally thousands of times in their life without necessarily knowing it.
Hypnosis can be used to help you gain control over undesired behaviors or to help you cope better with anxiety or pain. It’s important to know that although you’re more open to suggestion during hypnosis, you don’t lose control over your behavior.
The levels of the Hypnosis recordings are:
- Induction: This is the process when the mind is ‘induced’ into a state of calm. This starts off with simple deep breathing and continues with the visualizing total relaxing of the body from head to toe.
- Deepening: This is the second stage of Hypnosis. It is the process of visualization again, putting you deeper into a state of relaxation. It usually concludes with a ‘downward’ visualization and accompanied by a countdown.
- Script: The Script is the specific suggestions/commands for the goal you want to achieve. For example; weight loss. The suggestions again are visualizing yourself having achieved your goals.
- Amnesia: This is the part where you will be told statements that will make you forget the process of the Hypnosis session. While you forget the session, the suggestions are embedded into your subconscious mind.
- The session usually ends with you being told to fall into a deep, restful sleep. All the recordings in this session are not to be used in a moving vehicle and are designed to be used at night before bedtime.
